WHAT IS FASCIA?
Fascia is a three-dimensional network of connective tissue that covers the entire body and all of its contents. It must stay moist and supple in order for the body to move freely and without pain. When a spider’s web is pulled, the entire structure will move to accommodate the change. The same is true of fascia. Restrictions of fascia anywhere in your body’s network will impact your entire system.
Fascial restrictions can occur for many reasons, such as from surgical scars, injuries, or illness. The restrictions can cause pain, lack of movement, and/or organ dysfunction. Techniques I use help keep fascia healthy to maximize my patients' overall health and well being.
